Right to Carry Firearms

The Law Office of Joseph A. Niskar represents clients who are attempting to have their rights to possess and carry a firearm after having been convicted of a felony. The U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has recently held that the Double Jeopardy Clause is not violated where a defendant is convicted of both Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Firearm in Michigan.
