Operating While Intoxicated Charge Reduced For Michigan Woman

Oct 08, 2015, by Maurice Davis in Case Results, Criminal Defense, OWI

A 25-year-old woman recently contacted Davis Law Group for help with her two operating while intoxicated charges, pending in two separate cities. In the state of Michigan, two OWI charges within a seven year period requires a one-year license suspension. Working two jobs, this was not a valid option for her. Looking for answers, the woman contacted Davis Law Group to straighten out her legal situation.

Michigan criminal defense attorney Maurice Davis knew his client needed a strong representation and understood that the only way to get out of the suspension was by getting her into sobriety court. She was not eligible where she was charged because she did not live in the area. Davis negotiated with the judge to transfer her into a different court. Now our client has her license and is able to get to and from work by breathing into an ignition interlock device to start the car and must maintain a low alcohol level to drive.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
