Jackson, MI Man Sees Felony Weapons Charge Amended to a Misdemeanor

A Davis Law Group client who lives out of state recently reached out to attorney Maurice Davis for help after he was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon without the proper paperwork. Unaware that Michigan law requires a license to carry a pistol, the man drove into Jackson, MI, and was eventually pulled over for a traffic stop. The client revealed to the officer that he was carrying a pistol. Since he did not have the proper license, he was arrested.
